BCCI President N Srinivasan remains defiant and is all set to contest for the top post in the upcoming Board elections in Chennai on September 29.
N Srinivasan is hopeful to be re-elected as the president of the BCCI for third year in the running under the Board's two plus one year tenure rule.
Srinivasan seems to be very confident about his selection at the helm of affairs once again and this comes right after he chaired the meeting of the disciplinary committee held in Delhi which found the cricketers involved in spot-fixing guilty and have imposed lifebans on Sreesanth and Ankeet Chavan.
Srinivasan have found himself in a spot of bother after the IPL scandal broke out in which his son-in law and Chennai Super Kings team principal Gurunath Meiyappan's name came up during the investigations of spot-fixing in the Indian Premier League.
Srinivasan was literally forced to step aside as the President of BCCI and let former president Jagmohan Dalmiya take over the day-to-day work.
There has been a lot of hue and cry over Srinivasan stepping down but that has hardly bothered N Srinivasan as he seems to live in his own world and claims to have done nothing wrong so as to step down as the President of BCCI.
However, despite all the developements, Srinivasan still remains adamant and ignorant about the rising criticism against him for returning as the BCCI President. If Srinivasan goes on to take the post later on and win the elections, it would be morally as well as ethically wrong as it is right now when he is still holding on to a post which he should have given away a lot earlier.
