World Cup: Indian women recurve archery team in finalWroclaw, Poland: Indian women recurve archery team has made their way to the final of the World Cup stage 4 at Wroclaw, Poland. Indian trio of Deepika Kumari, Laishram Bombayla Devi and Rimil Buriuly won some very close contest to keep themselves in the hunt of winning a second successive gold after the Medellin meet.
 

The Indian trio dominated the proceedings as they beat Indonesia (217-216), Mexico (211-202) and finally Denmark (214-206) in the semi-finals to make their way for the second straight gold medal. With this successful run, Indian trio, who made it to the final, will take on the Korean team of Yun Ok-Hee, Ki Bo Bae, and Joo Hyun Jung.


Meanwhile, Indian men’s team were shown the doors in their pre-quarters match when the trio of Rajat Chouhan, Sandeep Kumar and Abhishek Verma lost their match to South African opponents by one point (232-233).


In another close contest of the day, it was the women's compound team of Trisha Deb, Lily Chanu Paonam and Jyothi Surekha Vennam who missed it by just couple of points against the Russians by 224-226.


The men's team of Tarundeep Rai, Jayant Talukdar and Priyank on the other hand continued their miserable run to make a quarterfinal exit after losing to the US 221-222.
