French Open: Djokovic enters 3rd round, Li Na losesParis: World Number 1, Novak Djokovic, has sailed into the third round of the French Open after beating his Argentinean counterpart, Guido Pella by 6-2, 6-0, 6-2 here on Thursday.

The match on center court was delayed and interrupted by afternoon rain but Djokovic kept his concentration and didn’t allow his opponent to make any mark in this match and wrapped up after 1 hour, 26 minutes.

After winning the first set, he went on to win 10 games in a row which showed his class and ascendency in the second round match. Djokovic broke the Argentinean’s serve six times and did not face a single break point on his serve.

He had 30 winners and he clinched the victory on his third match point when Pella double-faulted. The only title that is missing from the Serb’s cabinet is of the French Open and it lies at top in his priority list. He lost the last final at Roland Garros to Spaniard Rafael Nadal.

Meanwhile, in the biggest upset of the tournament, China's Li Na was shown the exit doors of the French Open on Thursday as she lost by 5-7, 6-3, 6-2 to Bethanie Mattek-Sands of the United States.

After winning the first set quite comfortably, she lost the next two very badly. Sands didn’t allow her to make a comeback at any point and registered a thumping victory over the 2011 champion.

American sensation wrecked Li’s hopes of a second straight Grand Slam final appearance after Australian Open in January.
