In reply to Ponting's message, Sachin replied, "It will be great fun for us to play together."
“Hopefully he might even learn a few things from me. We've played a lot against each other over the years and spent a little bit of time together off the field. It will be great fun for us to play together," said the 38-year-old.
Pointing has earlier played in IPL alongside Sourav Ganguly in first edition of IPL way back in 2008.The two legends of present cricket scenario will play for Mumbai Indians in the upcoming Indian Premier League's sixth edition.
Pointing has played good amount of T20 cricket earlier this month in Big Bash League and tasted a fair bit of success. He was man of the match on few occasions. He said, “I am working on my batting and trying to make myself a good T20 player.”
