New Delhi: Ace Indian squash player Dipika Pallikal lost her pre-quarters match of the Women’s World Open Squash Championship in Grand Cayman Island in the Caribbean.
Pallikal went down to Egypt’s Raneem El Weleily 11—7 9—11 6—11 5—11 in 38 minutes.
The 13th seeded Idian started the game well by winning the first game but lost the momentum thereafter. The second seeded Weleily took total control of the match and won the next three games to win the match.
Earlier, Pallikal defeated Malaysian qualifier Delia Arnold 13-11, 11-9, 11-9 in a hard fought match.
