Delhi: A brilliant unbeaten century by Arun Karthik helped Tamil Nadu draw against Delhi in a Group B Ranji Match being played at Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium here today.
Tamil Nadu being made to follow-on were on two without loss at the start of the final day. Openers Karthik (121*) and Abhinav Mukund had a good opening partnership of 101 runs. Together the two played some good shots and ensured that there team was well on course of a draw.
TN did lose two quick wickets in the form of Mukund and Baba Aparajith (9), but S Badrinath (45*) and Karthik ensured that there were no further loss. The two had an unbeaten stand of 103 runs for the third wicket.
Earlier, Tamil Nadu in reply to Delhi’s first innings total of 555 could manage only 226 in their first innings, as their last six wickets fell for only 39 runs.
