Bilbao (Spain): World Champion Vishwanathan Anand ended his campaign at the Fifth Final Chess Masters winless as he signed peace with Russian Sergey Karkajin in the 10th and finall round of the tournament.
With nine draws and a loss to Anand signed signed off the tournament with nine points and finished ninth in the six-player double round robin event.
Meanwhile Magnus Carlsen of Norway won the championship after he beat Fabiano Caruana 2-0 in the tie breaker after both of them ended on tied first spot with 17 points.
Playing their last round match, Carlsen was held by Levon Aronian of Armenia, whereas Caruana played out a draw against Francisco Vallejo Pons of Spain.
Aronian finished the championship third with 11 points while, Karkajin on fourth with 10 points. Pons with six points finished on sixth spot.
