China Open: Sania-Nuria go down in summit clashBeijing: Sania Mirza and her Spanish partner Nuria Llagostera Vives went down in straight sets to the Russian duo of Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina in the finals of the China Open here.

The fifth seeded Indo-Spanish pair lost 5-7 5-7 to their third seeded opponent in the finals of the USD 4,828,050 event.

Sania-Nuria converted four out of 10 breaks points in the match as compared to Russians duo of six out of 13 chances in a match that lasted for one hours and 36 minutes.

Sania who was playing in her fifth finals of the season had earlier won twice (Pattaya, Brussels) while lost twice at Dubai and Indian Wells.
