London: Indian archers bad run continued at the London Olympics as both Jayanta Talukdar and Chekrovolu Swuro crashed out in the opening round of the men’s and women’s individual events.
Talukdar was outplayed by Jacob Wukie from America 0-6. Talukdar struggled from the beginning and could only manage a total score of 22. He hit the score of 8, 5 and nine in the three sets, while his opponent had a total of 27 points.
Swuro on the other hand started well and at one point was leading at 5-3, but she failed to clinch the opportunity. She needed a 10 to win the match but could only manage six and that turned out to be the turning point in the match.
