Kuala Lumpur: 12 Indian athletes, including eight in Category "A" and four in Category 'B" have qualified for 2012 London Paralympics. On the final day of 1st Malayasian Para Athletics Championships, India won four gold and one silver medal, taking its medal tally to 25 gold, 10 silver and 3 bronze. Overall India stood second behind Malayasia who won 27 gold, 8 silver and 1 bronze.
On the final day, Subbaih Thirumalai Kumar won gold of shot put in F-57 category, while in discus throw (F-42 category), Jaideep hurled the discus for gold.
In F-44 category discus throw, Jagminder Singh of India covered the distance of 38.48m and won gold very easily followed by Hetti Arachchige Chaminda of Sri Lanka (32.30m) and Haji Hastan Rosli of Bru (31.70m).
In 400m T-11 (total blind), Jedikere Mohammed Shavaad of India clocked 57.26s and won silver medal. Hung Le Duc of Vietnam won the gold with a timing of 55.64s.
