California:The Indo-Russian pair of Sania Mirza and Elena Vesnina defeated Timea Bacsinszky and Alberta Brianti, 6-1 3-6 10-2 in the second round match to reach the quarter finals of the Indian Wells WTA Premier event.
The second seeded pair had a good start in the match winning the first set easily, things however got tough for them as the unseeded pair of Bacsinszky and Brianti came back hard to win the second set 3-6. Mirza and Mirza in the last set showed why they are rated as high as they snatched up the victory easily in the end.
Sania has a lot to focus in the doubles as her singles campaign got over only in the second round.
