Madrid Masters: Roger Federer sets up final clash with Tomas Berdych

Madrid: Third seeded Roger Federer of Switzerland defeated Janko Tipseravic of Serbia 6-2, 6-3 to reach the final of the Madrid Masters

 

Federer required just 67 minutes to see off the Serbian challenge and he is now just a win away from regaining his second spot on the World rankings. He delivered 25 winners and committed 13 unforced errors in the match.

 

Former World number one Federer now has set up the final clash with Tomas Berdych of Czechoslovakia  who beat  Argentine Juan del Potro 7-6 (7-5), 7-6 (8-6) in the other semi finals.

 

Sixth seeded Berdych fired 15 aces in the match that lasted for over two hours.
