Serena beats Larsson to win Swedish OpenStockholm: Form is temporary but class is permanent, this is what the finals of Swedish Open was all about. Serena managed to win her 51st match of the year on Sunday against Johanna Larsson in straight sets 6-4, 6-1. With this win, she claimed 53rd WTA title of her career.


 

French Open winner Serena, 31, was contesting her 69th final and is unbeaten on clay this season, having also won in Rome, Madrid and Charleston.


Previously, the most WTA main draw match wins Serena had at this stage of the year was 38, back in 2003.
