Maruti Vihar Sarbojonin Durgatsov to organise “RUN TO SAVE THE GIRL CHILD” on August 23

Delhi: Maruti Vihar Sarbojonin Durgatsov (MVSD), organizers of one of Gurgaon’s oldest Durga Pujas, is going to organise a “RUN TO SAVE THE GIRL CHILD” for first time ever in Gurgaon on 23rd August, 2015 (Sunday) and will start at 6 AM from DLF Galleria, Gurgaon as part of Raahgiri Events.

Mr. Anit Kumar Ghosh, President, MVSD said, “We invite all citizens and various corporate houses of Delhi NCR to participate. The kind of response we received till date has been very encouraging. We expect that more than 1000 participants from various part of Delhi NCR including many from corporate sector and some eminent personalities shall also turn up for the Event”.

The objective of organising this event is to spread social awareness against Female Feticide, still rampant in Haryana and Northern India, resulting in the region having the worst Sex Ratio in the country, he further added.

Mr. Anurag Veer Chugh, Director, Good Show Events said, “This year, MVSD completes its 25th year and as a mark of Silver Jubilee Celebration such type of noble event been created and designed to make this Durga Puja an unforgettable experience, intricately weaving a socially relevant message for the masses with a “Theme Puja”.

The Theme we have chosen, “INDIA-Let Her Live”, shall highlight the social paradox of “Devi Durga”- one of the most worshipped female deities in Hindu culture & considered to be an incarnation of “Shakti” (divine superpower) being worshipped, even as the real life “Devis”- the female children- are denied a chance to live, due to outdated beliefs and customs. It is our effort to support the Hon. Prime Minister’s “Beti Bachao, Beti Padao” programme.

This event is supported and powered by prominent Brands like Air Asia, Cleartrip, Max Hospital, Kolln, What’s Up Gurgaon and Good Show Events & Exhibitions and many more.
