Indian cadet & junior judokas win 2 silver, 3 bronze medals at 9th Asian Cadet & 16th Asian Junior Judo Championships in Bangkok

Bangkok: 33-member Indian judo team, consisting of six boys and seven girls cadets, and six men and eight women junior judokas along with four Coaches, one Referee and one team manager participated in the 9th Asian Cadet and 16th Asian Junior Judo Championships held from October 9th to 12th in Bangkok, Thailand.

Indian Cadets Sachin Singh Rawat (50Kg) and Pinki Balhara (52Kg. ) won silver medals and Gaurav Awasthi (55Kg. ) and Yamini Mourya (57Kg.) won bronze medals in the 9th Asian Cadet Judo Championships.

In the Junior Asian Championships, Likmabam Shushila Devi (48 Kg. ) won bronze medal. Since this event is also the world ranking events of International Judo Federation and Official event of Judo Union of Asia, competitions were tough.

In the last Asian Cadet & Junior Championships -2014 held at Hong Kong, Indian Cadets had WON one Gold, one Silver and five bronze, while in the juniors had won three bronze medals.
