Nehru Sub Junior Hockey Tournament: Delhi’s Saheed Bishan Singh Memorial School beat Career Residential Academy 3-2

New Delhi: Saheed Bishan Singh Memorial Senior Secondary School, Delhi beat Career Residential Academy by 3-2 in a closely contested match in 34th Nehru Sub-Junior Hockey Tournament being played at Shivaji Stadium in New Delhi, on Monday.

The goals were scored at regular intervals in the 11th, 48th and 53rd minute of the match by Saheed Bishan Singh Memorial School. The goal scorer of the match was Vasudev, Nitin and Sahil respectively while K. Rohit Meite in 49th minute and A.Suresh Sharma in the 51st minute narrowed the gap by two goals for Career Residential Academy.

In the second match, Government Model High School, Sector 42, Chandigarh beat Government High School, Kawnpui (Mizoram) by 3-1.The goal scorers of the match were Harpanpreet, Raman and Pardeep in the 49th,52nd and 67th minutes, respectively. Government High School,Kawnpui could manage only a goal through Lalruatdika in the 33rd minute. 

In the third match played on Monday, St Gnatius High School, Gumla (Jharkhand) beat NCC Directorate NCC) in a one-sided match by 26-0.
In the fourth match, Army Boys Sports Company, Bangalore beat Rao Brij Mohan Public School, Paprawat (Delhi) by 5-2.
