Chandigarh: Sports Department, Chandigarh Administration has decided to allow Sports Talent Scholarship to outstanding players who have represented Union Territory, Chandigarh during the year 2014-15 (1.4.2014 to 31.3.2015) and attained the 1st, 2ndand 3rd positions in the recognized games, including archery, athletic, badminton, basketball, boxing, baseball, cricket, canoeing/kayaking, cycling, fencing, football, golf, gymnastics, hockey, handball, judo, kabaddi, kho kho, lawn tennis, rifle shooting, rowing, skating, swimming, softball, table tennis, taekwondo, volleyball, weightlifting and wrestling as per details given below:-

UT/State championship for Seniors, Inter College, Inter School Tournament (U-19 ) yrs.
IST- Rs. 5000/- P.A.
2ND- Rs. 3500/- P.A.
3RD- RS. 2500/- P.A.
2.
UT/State championship for Juniors, Inter School Tournament (U-14 & U-17) yrs.
IST- Rs. 4000/- P.A.
2ND- Rs.2500/- P.A.
3RD- RS. 1800/- P.A.


Applications forms can be obtained from the office of the District Sports Officer, UT Chandigarh at Sports Complex, Sec-42, Chandigarh. The application forms have also been sent to the Principals of Colleges in UT Chandigarh, the District Education Officer, UT Chandigarh. The Secretaries of State Sports Associations in UT Chandigarh and the Director Sports , Panjab University, Chandigarh.

The last date for the receipt of application forms is 31st July, 2015. Incomplete applications and the application received after the due date will not be entertained. These application forms should be deposited in the office of the District Sports Officer, UT Chandigarh at Sports Complex, Sector-42, Chandigarh during 9.00 am to 5.00pm on all the working days.
