Chennai: Gandhi Nagar ‘A' completed a 3-1 win over Madras Cricket Club (MCC) in the ‘A' zone final of the Sanmar-TNTA inter-club city tennis league championship at MCC courts on Tuesday. Gandhi Nagar had taken a 2-0 lead after winning both the singles matches on Monday.

In the first doubles encounter of the day, Rajeev Vijayakumar and Vinod Sridhar provided MCC a lifeline by defeating Manoj Mahadevan and Md. Ashraf 6-4, 6-2. On the other hand, Arun Prakash and Vijay Kannan ensured that Gandhi Nagar had no further hiccups, as they defeated Tariq Jacob and Md. Fariz 7-6(7), 6-4.
