Serena Williams, the undisputed queen of tennis

Serena Williams isnSerena Williams is unstoppable at every Grand Slam court she plays. The 19-Grand Slam title winner has achieved everything in her career. She has had huge amount of success at all the Grand Slams, except the French Open. She has won just two French Open titles and would definitely like to add one more to make Roland Garros her own.

2014 French Open was a nightmare for Serena as she lost to Garbine Muguruza in the second round itself. It was her worst loss in the grand slam. Serena’s performance in 2014 was ordinary as she failed to shine at the Australian, French and Wimbledon, but somehow managed to win the US open title.

Who can challenge Serena?

Even though Serena is considered the strongest contender for the Roland Garros, she needs to be in perfect shape to defeat her competitors, including Maria Sharapova and Eugenie Bouchard. Maria can oppose serious threat to her 20th Grand Slam title as the 2013 French open finalist can trouble her with forehand long rallies shots.

Eugenie Bouchard, the new emerging stars in tennis who is no 6 in rankings, has the talent and skills to reach the semifinals where she could be a tough challenge to Serena.

Meanwhile, the Czech Republic sensation Petra Kavitova who won the Wimbledon title too is in the race for the French open title and can pose a serious threat.

The world no 3 Simona Halep and Carolina wozniacki are likely to be the other players to reach the quarters and semi-final stages. Simona, the aggressive baseliner, is another contender and Carolina the US Open 2014 finalist who eventually lost to Serena, will look forward to take revenge at the Roland Garros.

Though Serena quest for another Grand Slam title won’t be easy, the champion knows how to handle the heat and pressure at the court.{adselite}
