Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Chennai Super Kings: Players to watch out for in Match No. 50

sunrisers-hyderdabad-2014Chennai Super Kings seems to have lost the plot in the last couple of matches which we generally don’t associate with Chennai Super Kings. Dhoni needs to get his act together and get back to winning ways as soon as possible because the momentum in the shortest format of the game can shift as quickly as anybody can think off. Sunrisers Hyderabad on the other hand seems to have got some oxygen in the tournament by winning the last match and still has a chance of making it to the last four.

Here is a look at the players to watch out for in the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings:

Sunrisers Hyderabad

Shikhar Dhawan: Dhawan after being unburdened with captaincy seems to have got back to some kind of form as he scored a brilliant half-century against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the last match. Dhawan can make a lot of difference at the top of the order once he comes good with the bat in hand as a opener.

David Warner:
Warner has been in brilliant form all throughout the tournament and has carried the Hyderabad batting on his shoulders for most of the times. Warner’s form will keep Hyderabad in the match even when they are chasing a big score or while setting up a target for the opposition.

Dale Steyn:
Dale Steyn is by far the best fast bowler in the world at the present moment and has the ability to test the best of players even in a flat deck. Steyn is a strike bowler who can run through any side on his day and going by his current form he has not done too badly in the tournament except having a couple of bad days where he got hit to all corners of the park but that happens to the best of people in this format.

Karan Sharma:
The young leg-spinner has been a real find in this tournament and he along with Amit Mishra has done a very good job for his team. Sharma would be looking to keep the batsman quiet which in turn has every possibility of him picking up a couple wickets in this format.

Chennai Super Kings

Dwayne Smith: Dwayne Smith has had a fantastic tournament so far and has almost scored runs in every match which has given his team a fantastic start early on in the innings. Smith’s form with the bat in hand would be crucial for Chennai Super Kings and how they fare in the knock out stages of the tournament as the middle order has hardly been tested in the tournament.

Suresh Raina:
Suresh Raina: Raina is one of the most prolific run-scorers in the shortest format of the game, especially for Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League. Raina has the ability to take the game away from the opposition and is no mug with the ball in the hand as well. His form will be crucial for CSK if they wish to win the title.

Ravi Ashwin:
Ashwin is one of the highest wicket takers in the tournament and has also played the most number of matches for CSK along with Suresh Raina and Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Ashwin with his off-spinners can turn the match on its head and his experience with the ball in hand can come in handy for the Chennai Super Kings.

Ben Hilfenaus:
The Aussie seamer has this brilliant ability to get the new ball to swing both ways and invariably picks up an early wicket by deceiving the batsmen with his out-swingers which are even more lethal once the lights are on.
