Theo Walcott has been Arsenal's hero

Theo WalcottEver-so-promising Theo Walcott certainly knows what it takes to nail a performance. Tenacity has remained an especial distinction in his performances. ‘Little’ 10 year old boy who started playing football is now making his’ big’ dreams come true. Theo Walcott, the name itself is so energizing and when he’s on the field, he proves it all. The journey started in 2006 when he signed for Arsenal FC from Southampton, becoming the youngest to play with Southampton first team. He was a raw talent then and a terrific attacker now. And from being a substitute, he topped the list of most important players.

Arsene Wenger’s unwavering faith in Walcott made the latter a central striker. Arsenal Manager is the one who played a massive role in shaping his career by putting his utmost trust in Walcott. He deeply commends Theo’s inexorable commitment which can be made to achieve anything. In 2011, at Stamford Bridge, when Arsenal knocked down Chelsea 5-3, it was Walcott who made it a memorable game for Arsenal fans as he scored the goal to make it 3-2. His passionate desire, speedy pace and never-say -die attitude turned him into a brilliant finisher.

Theo was in his best behavior when he gave an electrifying performance in 2102 after manager Roy Hodgson replaced James Milner with Walcott. Walcott garnered a cleared corner on the edge of the box and equalized with a 20-yard shot that chiseled goalkeeper Andreas Isaksson within a short duration of 4 minutes.

And 14 minutes later, the England winger bumped into the penalty box, went against two Swedish defenders and crossed for Danny to lightly strike in the winner.

23-year-old Theo literally turned the tables while he was making his first appearance in a major tournament and scored his first England goal for nearly four years.

It’s not over for the Arsenal champion. He has won accolades not only for his victories but also for his proud defeats. Back in 2015, when Walcott made an unsuccessful attempt to net against Manchester United but was successful in being a constant peril for the all afternoon that day as the double of Sanchez and Mesut’s men. Wenger commented saying that Walcott had a hugely committed performance today in a hugely convincing way. Even though he didn’t score, Wenger was all praises for Walcott, reason being his fighting spirit apparent in the way he played. He showed he can commit, fight and fulfill the commitment and the save the ball as well. His performance showed how his centre forward skills are growing and that he is indeed of the best players.

Similar to this is his fight against Liverpool which let the latter into Premier league but ironically bringing Walcott to light. All credits to his enthusiastic skill, infectious energy and abundant skill. He beat every Liverpool player with his attacking moves.

Lately he expressed his desire to be a right winger instead of a forward for the forthcoming season which is a good news as he will be seen doing his magic again. He previously asked for his transition from a winger to a forward.
Arsenal Hero is back.
