Dhoni in clouds of despair, rotational policy an indicative of dissensions

Mahender Singh Dhoni’s dig on big wiz such as Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag doesn’t seem to have gone too well with the team and seems like an indication of smouldering dissentions within the team.

After the deplorable 110 run radar, skipper Dhoni defended the policy of rotating senior players like Tendulkar, Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir. Dhoni’s main concern brought out the fact that the players had no flaw, but they would be ‘slightly on the slower side’ on the big Australian grounds.

Though earlier Gambhir went overtly public about the difference he has with Dhoni by saying that the match should not have gone till the 50th over and should have been finished at least two overs before, he seems to continue his monosyllabic answer saying that they are fine and no indifference is brewing.

After the sorry tours of England and Australia, questions are being pulled on the captain, certainly in Tests. The coach, Duncan Fletcher seems to be in a tizzy and doesn’t look in a position to sort the team problems.

Along with this allegation, the ban seems to be playing a ‘feather on the cap’ for this ‘disturbed’ captain.
