Pune Warriors India are pumped up to take on Delhi Daredevils at their home turf on Sunday. Both the teams are sitting at the bottom of the table but would be looking to get one more victory in this forgettable edition of IPL. Virender Sehwag and Mahela Jayawardene are having a lot at stake as they haven’t done much. But that doesn’t mean the likes of Wayne Parnell and Bhuvneshwar Kumar are going to have it easy against the hard hitters. Meanwhile Yuvraj Singh, Aaron Finch and Robin Uthappa would be looking to give their fans something to cheer about in their final game of the IPL-6.
Here we bring to you the players to watch out in the match between Pune Warriors and Delhi Daredevils.
Pune Warriors India
Yuvraj Singh: Yuvi was looking in good touch with the bat in the last game as he went on to score 30 runs. He has all that potential to change the course of the game single-handedly and if he gets going then bowlers will have a hard time.
Aaron Finch: Finch was in murderous mood against KKR when he smacked the ball over the park. He has been one of the most consistent players for Pune
but his captaincy has not been as impressive.
Robin Uthappa: Uthappa can be very explosive in the first six overs. He has shown his aggressive intent in the second half of the tournament and would be looking to come hard against the likes of Irfan Pathan and Shahbaz Nadeem.
Wayne Parnell: Parnell has added some strength to the fragile bowling of Pune. His ability to execute those Yorkers at the right time makes him a crucial player in this team.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar: Bhuvneshwar has been the finest player for Pune this season. In last match, it was great to see him bowling back-to-back Yorkers which not just stopped the flow of runs but also took his side to a much-needed win.
Delhi Daredevils
Virender Sehwag: Sehwag was looking in great touch at Dharamsala but got out after scoring 30 runs. He needs to bat top of the order rather than wait for his chance in the middle order.
Mahela Jayawardene: Jayawardene had a very tough time being the captain of Delhi Daredevils but would be looking to end IPL 6 with a victory. He did score 39 runs in last innings but was very slow.
Ben Rohrer: Rohrer has added some great strength to the DD’s outfit. In last match, he smashed 49 runs very quickly and almost won the game for his side.
Irfan Pathan: Pathan has been the only fast bowler who has been consistent so far for Delhi. He would be looking to bag some wickets in the final match of this year’s Indian Premier League.
Shahbaz Nadeem: Nadeem can be the game changer for DD as he has that ingredients to stop the flow of runs and surface of Pune will surely assist his bowling.
