Mumbai: Not happy with the way the Mumbai crowd booed him during the match and also on his way to the post-presentation ceremony at Wankhade Stadium on Saturday, a miffed Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli said that IPL wasn’t the end of the world and reminded the people that he too plays for India.
"The IPL is not the end of the world. They are forgetting I play for India as well,” said Kohli during the post-match presentation.
Royal Challengers Bangalore suffered a huge loss of 58 runs to Mumbai Indians as their much-famed batting line-up including Tillakratne Dilshan, Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers failed at one go.
“We lost two other away matches by close margins but this one was big. The top four are not going to click in every game. This was one of those days when it didn't click. We have to pick ourselves up. Hopefully, we can re-group for our next match," said Kohli.
Meanwhile Rohit Sharma said that he was enjoying the captaincy as everything has been going well for him till now. "We pretty much did everything well today. Right from the batting to bowling we finished off pretty well. Special mention to Dhawal Kulkarni as this was his first game of this season. It was a tremendous effort from him. But I just don't want to get carried away too much," said Rohit.
