Sunrisers Hyderabad will take on Kings XI Punjab at PCA Stadium, Mohali on Saturday. With Dale Steyn and Amit Mishra in good form, they would be looking to dismantle the trio of Mandeep Singh, Adam Gilchrist and David Miller, who have been doing well for Kings XI Punjab in the IPL-6. Meanwhile, Praveen Kumar and Piyush Chawla too are in good form and Punjab would be looking to take on the brittle batting line-up of Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Here we bring to you the players to watch out for in the match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kings XI Punjab.
Kings XI Punjab
Mandeep Singh: Mandeep Singh has not fired since the last couple of matches and would be looking to get some runs against the likes of Ishant Sharma and Dale Steyn.
David Miller: Miller has played some marvellous innings so far. If he gets going, then it would be quite hard for Sunrisers to stop him. He can pace the innings at his will which makes him a dangerous batsman at top of the order.
Adam Gilchrist: Gilchrist played well in the last match but couldn’t lead his side to the much-needed win. He scored 42 runs off 32 balls and if he comes hard on the likes of Karan Sharma and Dale Steyn, then it’s going to be a cracking affair.
Praveen Kumar: Praveen has been sensational with the ball but he needs to get his length right in the final overs. He can be a dangerous bowler as he provides those much needed breakthroughs at the start of the innings.
Piyush Chawla: Chawla has been brilliant with the ball, especially against Rajasthan Royals. His quicker ones has been a big surprise for the batsmen and would be quite effective against the fragile batting line-up of Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Sunrisers Hyderabad
Shikhar Dhawan: Dhawan has been brilliant with the bat but he needs to be bit consistent. He has shown some good aggressive intent so far and he would be looking to continue this against the likes of Praveen Kumar and Piyush Chawla.
Karan Sharma: Sharma did a brilliant job with the bat against Chennai Super Kings as he scored 39 runs off 33 balls. Though he didn’t have a good day with the ball, he would be looking to come good against Kings XI.
Parthiv Patel: Patel was looking good in last match as he scored a quick-fire 44 runs which gave Sunrisers some sigh of relief. He can be a game-changer if he gets going with Shikhar Dhawan at top-of-the-order.
Dale Steyn: Steyn was absolutely stunning as he gave away just 17 runs in the four overs that he bowled. He single-handedly kept the CSK batsmen quiet and kept bowling in the right channel throughout the match.
Amit Mishra: Mishra has not been looking as lethal as he was in the first half of the IPL but he would be looking to have a strong comeback in this match. He can topple any batting line-up especially which is relying on players who don’t play spinners very well.
