Amit Mishra looking forward to giving a spectacular performance in IPL 6

Hyderabad: Leg-spinner Amit Mishra, who will be playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad, is looking forward to giving a spectacular performance in the sixth season of IPL. The leg-spin bowler had a decent run in the domestic circuit and is expecting everyone from Sunrisers to play some good cricket to raise the bar of their performance.


In his interaction with the media persons he was quoted saying, “Last time I missed the IPL but this time I am looking for a great turn around. With the much better blend of youth and experience in our side, we have all that it takes to be the champion team. Seniors will have to lead from front and youngsters will have to perform out of their skins to make this sixth edition of IPL a memorable one.”


Mishra has been chalking out some strategies for his opposition with the senior pros of his squad and is looking forward to outplay even the best teams in the tournament.


He recalled the mistake that he did in the previous season of IPL and was quoted saying, “After recovering from my injury, I was in too much of hurry in the last season. But I had worked out really well to keep my fitness in check. I will give my level best to take Sunrisers to the new height in this season of Indian Premier League.”


Right-arm leg-spinner, explained, why variations are necessary for a leg-spinner and he added, “I will be attacking more frequently to batsmen this time because attack is the best form of defence. Art of wicket taking is the only mantra for success in T20 which you need to scratch out by working on your stock balls. T20 gives us that kind of a comfort zone where we can try a lot of things. If they work out, it’s great and if it doesn’t we need to make the amendments to make it work.”
