Bangalore: Indian Premiere League’s Deccan Chargers franchise will now be known as Sun Risers from the next season. The name was changed by the owners Sun TV Network.

Sun TV Network earlier this year won the Hyderabad franchise of the IPL for an amount of Rs 85.05 crores.

The franchisee on micro-blogging site Twitter posted. “Our team will be called as 'Sun Risers' from #IPL 2013. Spread the word :)"
