The match saw Indian pacer Ishant Sharma and Pakistan batsman Kamran Akmal involved in a heated exchange of words.

The incident happen when Shoaib Malik was caught of the bowling of Sharma, but later umpire adjudged it as no-ball, which was the right call.
The batsmen crossed over when the catch was taken.

On the next ball, Ishant bowled a terrific ball to Akmal which beat his inside edge and missed the stumps narrowly. After the ball Ishant said something and Akmal responded. The umpires were forced to intervene.

After the match both captains said that the incident was sorted in the middle and both players involved in the incident left the ground on a good note.

"It happened because of some misunderstanding between the two. The bowler said something else and the batsman understood something else. I am pleased that Ishant had not abused him. We will try to keep this in check," Dhoni said.

Hafeez said, “We have come here to play competitive cricket and such incidents do happen. It is a part of the game. However, Ishant and Akmal ended the issue on the ground by exchanging smiles at each other.”
