Deepali Deshpande bags gold at National Shooting Championships

New Delhi: Deepali Deshpande of Maharashtra bagged the top honours at the rifle prone event of the 56th National Shooting Championships here at the Karni Singh Shooting Range on Tuesday. She shot 590, while Rajkumari Rathore of Madhya Pradesh with a score of 589 bagged the silver medal and Lajja Gauswami of Gujarat won the bronze with 588.

In rifle prone junior women event Karuna Sagar of U.P. won the gold medal with the score of 582 and Jayashee Das of West Bengal won the silver medal with the score of 582. The bronze medal went to Tejaswini Muley of Maharashtra with 579 score.

Meanwhile in centre fire pistol men Pemba Tamang of Army won the gold medal with the score of 582 and Harpreet Singh of Army won the silver medal with the score of 577. The bronze medal was won by Gurpreet Singh of Army with 575 score.

In centre fire pistol unior men Samarjit Singh of Uttrakhand won the gold medal with the score of 561 and Ajitesh Kaushal of ONGC won the silver medal with the score of 560. The bronze medal was won by Manpreet Singh of Army with 559 score.
