Ahmedabad: Pragyan Ojha continued his good form from the first innings to help India dismiss England for 406 in their second essay at the Motera Stadium here today.
India just now just 77 runs to win the match with two sessions to play.
England who started the day at 340-5, lost overnight batsman Matt Prior early in the day after Ojha had him caught off his own bowling. He scored 91 off 225-balls including 11 fours.
The left arm spinner scalped the big wicket of centurion Alastair Cook in his next over to bowl England out of the match. Cook scored 176 off 374 deliveries laced with 21 boundaries.
After Cook’s dismissal, India did not let English tail wag for long and wickets apiece by Umesh Yadav, R Ashwin and Zaheer Khan wrapped up the proceeding.
Ojha who returned with figures of 4-120 ended the match with a nine wicket haul, while Yadav complemented him well in the second innings with his 3-70.
