London: Novak Djokovic defeated Roger Federer 7-6 (8/6), 7-5 in the Tour Finals played at London's O2 Arena.

Djokovic overcame the six-time Tour Finals winner in the match that went for two hours and 14 minutes. Federer who defeated Andy Murray in the semis got off to a brilliant start winning the first game comfortably and then breaking Djokovic’s serve in the second.

Djokovic after conceding the lead got back in the set in the next game breaking Federer’s serve. Both players shared one break each and the match went into the tie-breaker where Djokovic through some scintillating tennis won the set.

Second set saw both players at their prime hitting some crisp shots, the set was tied at 5-5 and Djokovic got the better of Federer in the next two games to win the match.
