Pietersen’s hundred a positive sign for the entire team: Ian Bell

Ahmedabad: England’s middle-order batsman Ian Bell said that the century couldn’t have come at a better time for the Kevin Pietersen. Pieteren hit a blazing 110 of just 94 balls before retiring.


Bell said that the innings will help Pietersen get back in the grove and will help him settle down. He said that it was also a positive sign for the entire team.


Bell who was unbeaten on 57 after the first day’s play said that it was good to spend time in middle and get some runs before the opening match. He said that the pitch was good for batting and the ball came on to the bat nicely.


On playing against spin, he said that he likes coming down the track and attack them. He said the technique has worked for him in the past and he will continue to do that.


On playing against Amit Mishra, Bell said that Mishra is a quality leg-spinner and has played in Test matches and it was a good experience playing against him.


On the injury issues to Steve Finn and Stuart Broad, Bell said that he is sure that they will be fit before the first Test.
