Former fast bowler Shane Bond has been appointed New Zealand’s bowling coach. New Zealand will play South Africa, England and Sri Lanka in Test matches in the coming season.
Shane Bond was delighted with the decision saying that he always wanted to be the bowling coach of the national team since he stopped playing. Bond also said that the experience of bowling for New Zealand will certainly help him.
New Zealand have some tough series lined up and Bond will be a part of the team that will travel to first Sri Lanka and then later to South Africa.
John Buchanan who is the director of cricket of New Zealand Cricket said that his knowledge of the game will help the team and Shane Bond will help developing their bowling attack for the coming series.
