In the second match of the day, Mumbai Indians will start their titlle defence against the local favorites Highveld Lions at Johannesburg. Mumbai Indians have some of the best players in the world for this format and they will be looking forward to start off with a win. They are a very strong side and start the match as clear favorites at least on papers.

Whereas for the Lions, they do not have such big names like their counterparts but then can spring some surprises considering their familarity with the conditions.

Here are few of the players to watch out for in the match:

Mumbai Indians:

Rohit Sharma: He might not have been going through a great form in the international cricket but then he has been phenomenal for Mumbai Indians over the years. He has played many match winning knocks for his team in the past and will want to stick to his reputation.

Ambati Rayudu: He has been brilliant for Mumbai Indians for over the years and has helped his side script many famous victories in the past. Rayudu is a solid player and can play some big shots. He thrives under pressure and raises his game in tough situations.

Kieron Pollard: Pollard has been done good job for Mumbai with the ball. He is an awkward bowler and uses his height to extract uneven bounce from the pitch. His batting has also been consistent and his recent form in the T20 World Cup will add more confidence to him.

Lasith Malinga: He is one of the most dangerous bowlers in T20 cricket and he has been absolutely superb in this competition. He can rattle opposition with his toe crushing yorkers and his swing. He will be raring to go t the pst South African pitches.

Highveld Lions:

Neil Mckenzie: He is the most experienced player of the side. Having played for South Africa, he knows how it is like to be at such high intensity matches. His team will want him to use his expertise and lead from the front.

Alviro Peterson: The aggressive opening batsmen will hold the key for his team and will be responsible to get his team off to a good start. He has array of shots in his arsenal and can counter any bowling attack. He will try and see of Lasith Malinga initilly in the match.

Sohail Tanvir: He is one of the best bowlers when it comes to the shorter version of the game. He can generate swing and bounce and also bowl at a very good pace. He will play an important role in the match and MI batsmen will have to be cautious against him.
