Hockey India inducts CRPF as Associate Member


00 hockeyNew Delhi: Hockey India on Wednesday inducted Central Reserve Police Force (C.R.P.F) as an Associate Member.

Hockey India now has thirteen Associate members, with 29 Affiliated Members and two State Olympic Association Members.

With this inclusion, Central Reserve Police Force can take part in all the National Championships to be conducted by Hockey India in future. Central Reserve Police Force hockey team has participated in the All India Police Games and some major Indian tournaments such as Nehru Cup Hockey Tournament, Surjit Singh Memorial Hockey Tournament and Beighton Cup.

Dr Narinder Batra, Secretary General, Hockey India said “The Police Services have contributed immensely in the development and promotion of Indian Hockey. With C.R.P.F becoming an Associate Member, it will provide hockey players with job opportunities and showcase their talent through C.R.P.F. I welcome C.R.P.F for their entry into Hockey India” he said.

Mr. Vivek Dube (IPS), (ADG, Training) is the President and Khajan Singh Tokas (DIG) is the Secretary General of Central Reserve Police Force.
