Kolkata: Green Gang has become the leader on day one of Touche Golf League, infantry round citadel one at Royal Calcutta Golf Club. The team total of Green Gang was 536 which proved good enough to take the lead while second place was taken by Birdie Riders at 549. Kolkata Ballbusters who made an impressive start last year in the first round, finished at third place with 555 while Royal Knights scored a team total of 564 to end the day at fourth position.
The Royals gang deposited a score card of 579 to take the fifth place and other gangs including Birdie Warriors, Shark Attack, Tee Totalers, Red Tigers and Robin Hoods Merry Men could not make a cut for the second round.
Green Gang’s individual best score was shot by Atul Almal as he hit 85 along with Raghav Khaitan who also fired a spectacular 85.
Citadel 2 will happen tomorrow at the RCGC Club where 11 new gangs will participate out of which 6 gangs would vie against the top 5 gangs of today for an entry into the Cavalry round of TGL’2012.
