Sachin "unhappy" with CAB officials' celebratory attempts for his 199th Test match

Sachin Tendulkar is reportedly "unhappy" with Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) officials' celebratory attempts for his 199th Test match in his farewell series against the West Indies starting here from Wednesday, says a report in The Deccan Herald.

“There were contradictory statements from two joint secretaries of CAB with Sujan Mukherjee admitting that the maestro was not amused with all the arrangements while the other joint secretary Subir Ganguly said that everything was under control,” says the report.

According to a report in Deccan Chronicle, as Tendulkar was the first to step down from the team bus this morning, confetti were burst near the gate, while 80 schoolchildren wearing T-shirts with the Mumbai batsman's photo and 199 written on the back, lined up till the dressing room to greet the seniormost cricketer. If that was not enough, the CAB erected a life-like wax figure of Tendulkar next to the dressing room.

According to sources, Tendulkar reportedly said he's not bigger than the sport and that there were 14 other players who are part of the Indian squad.

Meanwhile according to a report in the DNA, Tendulkar playing chess with another cricketing great Vivian Richards, listening to tips on art from painter Maqbool Fida Husain, cheering up a young cerebral palsy patient - these are frozen frames on display at a Kolkata club.

Unveiled by the Cricket Association of Bengal president Jagmohan Dalmiya, the photograph exhibition showcases various moods and highlights of Tendulkar's life, as the batting genius gears up for his 199th and penultimate Test match at the Eden Gardens here, beginning Nov 6.

The 199 photos on show include the master's visit to the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital in Pakistan of Imran Khan, celebrations of the Indian cricket team after the 2011 World Cup triumph, and a young Tendulkar taking a nap in the Indian dressing room.
