Pune, Sept. 16: Vidya Bhavan College of Commerce logged a 9-0 win over Arihant College of Arts, Commerce and Science while Ness Wadia College of Commerce also had it easy against Sinhgad College of Commerce 7-0 in College Boys’ League matches of the Reliance Foundation Youth Sports football tournament here on Saturday.
Showing total collectiveness, Vidya Bhavan saw Laxminarayan Dellam and Joel Doraiswamy net a second half brace of goals each.
Saikrishna Battula opened the floodgates for Vidya Bhavan in the 21 st minute. Adarsh Rottellu then scored the first of his two goals while Nilesh Pardeshi (28th) added one more to end the first half 3-0 in their favour.
Changing ends, substitute Alfred Negal (39th) began Vidya Bhavan's scoring, which was augmented by Joel Doraiswamy (42 nd and 50th), Laxminarayan (49 th and 54th) while Adarsh Rottellu scored his second goal (50th).
Later, Nowrosjee Wadia College beat VIT 1-0 with Emannual Abel netting the all-important goal off a tap in in the 50th minute of the game.
Ness Wadia College of Commerce hammered a 7-0 verdict over Sinhgad College of Commerce. Mervin Maruasusai (1st) became the fastest scorer of the day while Rohit Jaisinghani (17th) and Narasimha Magham (23rd) made it 3-0 by half time.
Gaurav Swaminathan (31st), Aman Philip (44th), Pranam Tamang (47th) and Sushant Sathe (50th), completed the tally.
