INDIANAPOLIS: The International Cricket Council is inviting applications for selectors to form two USA cricket selection panels, one for female squads and one for male squads, according to a communication received from Head of Global Development Tim Anderson.

Applications are being sought for selectors to form two USA cricket selection panels, one for female squads and one for male squads.

Key responsibilities include select squads and teams that are capable of winning matches and events in line with the USA Cricket selection policy, select national squads and teams to ensure long-term national team success and attend meetings in person or via teleconference as directed by the Chairman of Selectors.

The selectors will work with national team coaching and support staff to ensure that the Committee has the best possible up-to-date information regarding the performance of talented players; identify young talent to sustain performance success of National teams; assistance in reviewing the performance database and capturing of relevant performance footage and information; liaise with national team coaching and support staff in respect of the status of the health, fitness and eligibility of players being considered for selection and act in fair, transparent, honest, objective and impartial manner.

Regarding qualifications/skills they must be passionate and knowledgeable about elite cricket development; proven ability to identify and assess high quality cricket talent; experience playing cricket at a high level, with international experience being preferable; strong written and verbal communication skills; willingness to work as part of a team; willing and able to work in the best interests of cricket in the USA.

Regarding conditions, Tim Anderson explained that the USA cricket national selectors are volunteer roles; ome domestic travel will be required and evening and weekend work will be required from time to time.
