INDIANAPOLIS: Cricket Council United States of America will be organnising the seventh edition of US Open Cricket Tournament at the Central Broward Regional Park and Stadium in Lauderhill, Florida from December 3 to 6.. The tournament carries cash prizes of $ 100K.
According to informational disclosed by Vice President of Operation, CCUSA, Sofian Qamar, "the US Open Cricket 2015 has been deemed approved cricket."
Last year was the firsxt year thst the US Open Cricket was approved by the International Cricket Council that led to "a lot of teams bringing in talent that have never had the chance to play in the United States.
Mr Qamar said "this year once again Cricket Council USA has worked with the ICC to get the US Open Cricket approved."
NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP: Meanwhile, the USA National Championship 2015 will be conducted at the Central Broward Regional Park and Stadium in Lauderhill, Florida from October 16 to 18.
According to information released by the CCUSA, cash awards will be given to the top seven cricketers. The best batsman will receive a cash award of $ 1500, the second best batsman $ 1000, the best wicketkeeper $ 1000, the best bowler $ 1500, the second best bowler $ 1000 and the best fielder $ 1000. The Futire of Cricket, the best under-19 will be awarded $ 1000.
