Sandeep Rawat UPLDehradun: After the afternoon fixture in Thursday's triple-header at UPL 2025 was abandoned due to rain, the evening clash between Dehradun Warriors and Tehri Titans faced a delayed start, reducing the contest to 15 overs per side.

This encounter carried significant stakes for both sides, with qualification to the finals hanging in the balance. Both teams entered knowing only a victory would keep their campaigns alive, Tehri Titans fighting for survival and Dehradun Warriors seeking to build on their four points.

With this win tonight, Dehradun Warriors remain in contention for the finals, while Tehri Titans have been eliminated from the tournament.

Earlier, Tehri Titans managed 142/7 in their allotted 15 overs, after Dehradun Warriors opted to bowl first at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium.

The innings got off to a flying start with Ishagra Jagoori's explosive 23 off just 10 balls, featuring three sixes and a four, before he fell in the third over. Karn Veer Kaushal contributed a steady 18 off 15, but wickets continued to tumble at regular intervals.

Bhanu Pratap Singh anchored the innings magnificently, remaining unbeaten on 50 off 28 with one four and five sixes, providing crucial stability amidst the collapse. Captain Vijay Sharma played a handy cameo of 21 off 10, keeping the scoreboard ticking later stages.

Dehradun Warriors' bowling attack shared the spoils effectively. Mayank Mishra and Rakshit Rohi claimed two wickets each, though they proved expensive. Yuvraj Chaudhary also picked up two crucial wickets, while Naveen Kumar Singh was the most economical bowler with figures of 1/18.

In reply, Dehradun Warriors produced a chase for the ages, orchestrated magnificently by opener Sanskar Rawat. The right-hander delivered a match-winning century, an unbeaten 116 from 52 balls, studded with 11 boundaries and seven sixes.

Yuvraj Chaudhary provided the perfect start early on, contributing a brisk 15 off 13 balls before departing with the score on 71. His dismissal proved inconsequential, however, as his opening partner Sanskar Rawat had already seized control. Aanjaneya Suryavanshi played the supporting role to perfection, remaining unbeaten on 13.

The Warriors romped home to 146/1 in 13 overs, securing a commanding nine-wicket victory.

The Player of the Match was given to Sanskar Rawat for his magnificent innings of 116 runs of just 52 delivers.
