Sunrisers Hyderabad logoHyderabad: SunRisers Hyderabad’s Coach, Tom Moody is optimistic about his team’s chances as the team regrouped for the first time ahead of Pepsi IPL 8.

SunRisers Hyderabad’s Indian contingent consisting of Ishant Sharma, Praveen Kumar, Parvez Rasool and Naman Ojha amongst others kicked off their pre-season duties as they engaged in light training ahead of their season opener against Chennai Super Kings on Saturday, April 11, 2015.

Head coach of the SunRisers Hyderabad was all smiles in the training on Day 1 and is confident of a strong showing from the team. "The fans should expect an exciting brand of cricket & a successful year. We have high expectations of where we want to end up this year and hopeful of playing our finest cricket," said Moody after the team’s first successful training session.

World Cup winner, Australia's swashbuckling David Warner will lead the Orange Army this year and Moody is confident the World Cup win will boost his confidence ahead of the brand new IPL season.

"I think it's an advantage having players who have experienced success in the World Cup. Obviously David was on the winning side but to also have two New Zealanders that reached the finals is a huge advantage to us because they've had a successful campaign. Hopefully that rubs off onto our campaign in this season of IPL." Said Moody.

SunRisers Hyderabad will play two practice matches on 7th and 8th April at the ACA – VDCA stadium before their season opener against Chennai Super Kings. Tickets for the home games will be available shortly.
