Nagpur: As the Boxing India’s 1st Elite Men’s National Championship 2014-15, commenced in Nagpur from Thursday, the Divisional Sports Complex was witness to an enthralled boxing fraternity, brimming with enthusiasm at the opening ceremony of the national championship. The championship was declared open by the Secretary General- Boxing India.

Sandeep Jajodia, President Boxing India, said, “We are very excited to see the level of participation in the National Championship. Today we have 325 Boxers from 34 Boxing India affiliated member units inclusive of 3 boards. It is immensely satisfying to be able to resume Elite Men’s Nationals in Boxing after a long time. This is a proud occasion for Nagpur to have been chosen as the Venue for Boxing India’s 1st Elite Men’s National Championship and to host so many states. I am sure the city of Nagpur is in for some power packed days, beginning today and I wish the participants a very good luck.”
