Indira National School eased past AISSMS’ Shri Shivaji Preparatory Military Primary Day School 4-0 to qualify for the junior boy league of the Reliance Foundation Youth Sports football tournament at the National Chemical Laboratory ground here on Tuesday.

In the qualifier, Indira boys rode on a brace of 2411goals by Rachit Singh and Neerav Motar. After a goalless 20 minutes, Rachit (21st) knocked in the first which turned out to be the only goal in the first half.

After the break, Neerav (35th & 40th) swelled the scoreline to 3-0 within a span of five minutes. Rachit booted in his second goal in the 48th minute to complete Indira School’s domination.

In another encounter, Vikhe Patil Memorial School put aside AISSMS’ Shri Shivaji Preparatory Military Boarding School 1-0 with Soumya Patil (42nd) scoring the match winner.

In league matches of the day, Lexicon International School powered by Rohit Bhanjdeo’s brace to down St. Vincent Night College 2-1 in the senior boys category

Prashant Gangipogo (7th) gave St Vincent’s College the lead to go into half time with a 1-0 advantage. However, Rohit not only levelled the scores (35th minute) for Lexicon but he also struck the match winner in 56th minute.

In the Group C encounter, Mithil Navalakha’s early goal in the fifth minute helped St. Vincent's High School secure a 1-0 victory over Delhi Public School, Pune.
