Norwegian world champion swimmer found dead

Oslo: The Norwegian swimming federation Tuesday said world champion Alexander Dale Oen had died following a cardiac arrest during a training camp in Flagstaff, Arizona. He was 26.

 

The federation said the 100 metres breast-stroke world champion was found collapsed on the floor of his bathroom Monday. He was taken to the Flagstaff Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

 

Dale Oen, silver medallist in the 2008 Olympic Games, won the world title in Shanghai last July. (IANS)
