Stuttgart: WBA regular heavyweight champion Alexander Povetkin (24-0, 16 KOs) retained his title with a majority decision over WBO cruiserweight champion Marco Huck (34-2, 25 KOs) on Saturday night at the Porsche Arena in Stuttgart, Germany.

Former Olympic gold medalist Povetkin fought a consistent pace while Huck who had only an experience of few amateur fights in his kitty depended on his natural attacks and did find some success as well. The bout was very close through the first six rounds. The 20lb weight difference didn’t seem to be a problem for Huck, and he was raining blows on Povetkin. The match ended with a score of 114-114, 116-113, 116-112 and Povetkin won on majority votes.
