Montreal: Rafael Nadal got the better of Novak Djokovic to enter the final of Rogers Cup on Saturday. The Spaniard beat the World No. 1 in three sets (6-4, 3-6, 7-6 (2)).
Nadal will ow face Canadian Milos Raonic. Nadal has triumphed at their three showdowns—two of which were on the hard courts—without ever losing a set.
Meanwhile, his semifinal match against Djokovic was spectacular. After two and a half hours, the intense battle ended with a victory for the world no.4. He racked up 97 points versus 95 for Djokovic.
Nadal, who took the Rogers Cup in 2005 in Montréal and 2008 in Toronto, will be on the hunt for his third. Djokovic missed his chance to become only the second player in history to win three straight titles in Canada.
