Mumbai: The Board of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI) conferred legendary Indian opener Sunil Gavaskar with the Col CK Nayudu Lifetime Achievement award which included a cheque of Rs 25 lakhs.
BCCI also honored Sachin Tendulkar (for scoring hundred international 100s) and VVS Laxman who recently retired from international cricket.
BCCI awarded the Polly Umrigar award to Virat Kohli for being the 'Best Indian Cricketer' of the 2011-12 season.
Also present at the event was former Indian captain Mohammad Azharuddin whose life-ban was overturned by Andhra Pradesh high court.
