New Delhi: Prerna Bhambri continued her good run in the Fenesta Open National Tennis Championship as she qualified for the semifinals of the tournament with a straight set win over Simran Sethi here at the DLTA Sports Complex on Thursday.
Bhambri seeded at in the tournament eased past her Simran Kaur Handa 6-0,6-4. She will now take on Vaishnavi Peddi Reddy who got past Shweta Rana 1-6, 6-2, 6-1.
In another match, top seeded Rishika Sunkara booked her last four spot after she beat Vaniya Dangwal 6-1, 6-2 to set up a semi-final clash with third seeded Natasha Palha. Palha beat 7-6 (5),6-3.
Meanwhile from the men’s section, Jeevan Neduncheziyan lived justified his top billing by advancing to last four with an impressive victory over Ashwin Vijayaraghavan 6-1, 6-2.
In another match Arjun Kadhe beat Mohit Mayur 7-5, 6-4 to enter the semifinals.
