i am happy to have achieved what I promised; Saina Hyderabad: Indian badminton queen Saina Nehwal is back in the India and she was welcomed by thousands of fans that gathered to give her a rousing welcome. Saina created history when she became the first Indian badminton player to win an Olympic medal on her return said that it was a dream for her and she was very happy with it.

"I dreamt of winning a gold but then I am happy that I won bronze. It is unbelievable and I am speechless. I am happy that I did what I promised and believed in," Saina said at press conference after arriving from London. "From outside, I am normal and Gopi sir is normal but inside I am jumping with joy."

The 22 year old Hydrebadi shuttler who won the bronze after her chinese opponent Wang Xin conceded the match due to an injury said that she always knew that she could win a medal and it is just the beginning and there is lot more to come.

"Standing on the podium just made me recollect all the hard work that I have put in all these years. It's just the beginning and will win many more medals," she said.

Saina who has been helped by a lot of people in her endeavor made it a point to thank all of them. " I want to thank my dad and Gopi for their support," said Saina.
